As part of this year’s Mole Valley Arts Alive Festival, Dorking Choral Society welcomed singers of all abilities to a really joyful ‘Come & Sing’ day on Saturday 27th September 2025, featuring Vivaldi’s Gloria, conducted by Daniel Mahoney.
We had a record attendance which was wonderful and the feedback has been tremendous, with everyone saying how much they enjoyed the day. We were also delighted to have been accompanied by Ben Giddens, as well as hearing our wonderful young scholarship soloists performing Vivaldi’s fabulous arias. Our thanks go to Matilda Noble (soprano) and Loula Weller (alto). The objective of getting together to have fun and make music, no matter how long the gap was from when some people had previously sung, was very successfully achieved. The delicious home baked cakes and biscuits rounded off what was a marvellous day!
