How to Join

We warmly welcome new members to the choir, and encourage anyone with an interest in choral singing to contact us. While choral experience is valuable, a love of singing and a desire to learn is more important and we do not audition new members. You will be introduced to a Part Rep who can help you find the right Voice and place in the Choir.

Our subscriptions are paid annually for singing members and for this we all enjoy three terms of singing, four concerts, a professional conductor and musicians, and a comfortable central Dorking rehearsal location.  For our Spring concert we join the Leith Hill Musical Festival for which there is a small additional charge levied by them.  New members are very welcome and we invite you to join us for a couple of 'taster' sessions before committing to paying anything.

Our annual subscriptions are set by the DCS Committee; we offer a generous discount for early payment; free if you are under 25s

2018 is the centennial commemoration of the end of the First World War, and we have the honour of being part of Dorking's Remembrance Day programme.  Our Concert of Mozart's Requiem in St Martin's Church, Dorking, on November 11th will be a very special and moving occasion, and one which some non-DCS singers would love to take part in.  For this reason, the DCS committee have agreed to a one term payment of £100, which will allow new singers to join for the Autumn term, Remembrance Day concert, and our Christmas concert.  Of course, we hope they may like to continue with the choir and the subs for the remainder of the year will be reduced accordingly.

We will be delighted to hear from you if you are interested in joining Dorking Choral Society. Please email us using the Contact Us tab or you can ring:
